About the Event
Mindfulness based educator training Course offering: April 6-10, 2020 (10-11am)
Our mission is to offer mental health support during this COVID-19 school closure so that educators can remain strong at promoting effective health and wellness strategies that result in increased moral during this difficult time.
When you sign up for the course offering (5 days in total) - we will be offering these training sessions every morning from 10-11am through Zoom video conferencing. Participants will receive through email, materials they will need for the entire course as well as instructions as to how to access the Zoom meetings online.
Who are we?
The AURORA Sacred Healing Centre team is comprised of qualified health specialists ready to put their energy and skills towards helping clients reach your goals. Adrianna Sawchyn will be the health specialist hosting the Workplace Wellness Workshops.
Adrianna Sawchyn is the Owner/Director of the Aurora Sacred Healing Centre located in The Pas and a KSD employee teaching Science at MBCI. She has had over 30 years of teaching and promoting fitness and wellness. Being a triathlete, paddler and martial artist gave her the physical health, but yoga really helped build the mental, emotional and spiritual health she was seeking. It was this reason why in June of 2018 she became a yoga practitioner (CYA-RYT 200) and envisioned the opening of the Aurora Sacred Healing Centre - to inspire people to lead richer, more fulfilling, more present, and more compassionate, happy lives.
The Mindfulness based Educator Training is intended to teach educators how mindfulness can help with physical and psychological health problems and ongoing life challenges in their own personal lives and in the lives of the students they wish to utilize these mindful techniques with.
The Mindfulness Based Educator Training includes:
1. Familiarity through personal participation with the mindfulness-based course curriculum that they will be learning to teach, with particular in-depth personal experience of all the core meditation practices of this mindfulness-based program.
2. Upon completion of the Educator training, the participant commits to on-going mindfulness-based practices of which the Aurora Sacred Healing Centre can be of service.
