Mother Earth Connection
Time & Location
About the event
Aboriginal people have been using medicinal plants from the Boreal forest traditionally for thousands of years. We would like to honour these teachings of the medicines Mother Earth provides. A beautiful way to connect and honour Mother Earth!
We will be traveling about 20 minutes north of The Pas to collect traditional medicines that we find such as Chaga, and Rat root or “Wegis”. We set up a tap for some nutritious birch water their roots provide.
Meet at: Aurora Sacred Healing Centre 130 Third St. The Pas, Meet at 1pm. We will travel in our own vehicles.
Preparation: Dress for cool, wet weather and have rubber boots. Bring your own collecting equipment such as a small shovel or trowel, snippers, knife or small hatchet, hammer and collecting bags.
Please pre-register by Friday, May 15th so we know how many supplies we need to get together.
Please bring a friend too since it will be suitable for all levels. Kids welcome too!
Donations to Aurora more than welcome though
